First post of 2013

I wanted it to be a new update but of course, I'm most of the time behind with it.
First of all, happy New Year, I wish you the best in snail mailing and life this year.
Now to get on with the late mail that came in the old year.
I have got some nice postcards and gifts along with letters.
Letter and card from Linnie, Scotland.

 Handmade bookmark.
The letter and card from Laurita, my Lithuanian mate.
Lizzie's letter is in Christmas mood too.
Many adorable stamps, it's fishing theme~

The horse magazines, card(quite funny) and presents. There was a big lollipop and horse posters. I wasn't peeking either.

Interesting card from Eve, USA.
 From my internet friend.

What a lovely card from Germany.

It has been a while. Time for letter updates.

I'm still confused over things since I can't get a hold of everything so there's a mess in my penpalling world too. I don't get many letters these days since I'm slow to reply and send them out but now I have an older update with all the mail I got since last time.
I feel bad for not updating more often. Sorry.

This package and stamps in mail there are from my dear Lizzie from Sweden. She always spoils me, especially with horse things. Not sure why I have one shoe :'D
This one with a bunch of postcards comes from Ana, Croatia. She was the one that spoiled me with postcards. But thanks to that my wall in room gotten prettier.
Another long letter and equally amazing gifts came from Eve, USA. I just love her signature letter smell, it's either lotion or shampoo.
From Laurita, my Lithuanian pal :)
Loooong letter that came all the way from Canada, Carolyn. I just loved the paper, some ornaments were really great. Also, notice how nicely her envelope is decorated.
These were the oldest mail, still from October. In another post I will look through the newest to catch up :)

Mail update~

Yet again with another update. This starts with a letter from my precious Michi who even sent her reply to my village and I am really glad it arrived here safely. So green!
I was also very happy to receive this beautiful card from a Finnish girl I met very accidentally(long stories are long).
Finally heard from my beloved Lithuanian pal Laurita too. As always, she sent me a bunch of various pages. The stamps were new to me too.

From Tiia, my dear Finnish pal. Oh, I got label bags, anyone can help me and tell me what to do with them? The description there made no sense :/

(honestly, I don't know why it uploads the photo upside down even if it's normal...)
Got reply and a gorgeous card from Yurie, Japan.
(yeap, it hates me out of a sudden)
Got more train tickets in this gorgeous envie.
And finally, my first postcard from sendsomething.net. From Macedonia, first one too.

I really hope blogger will get back to normal next time. I don't know what happened but I already delayed this update so I hope you will only have a nice laugh from this. Until next time~

Letter from Wednesday

This letter reached me in my village, sent by my Lithuanian pal Laurita. I was really procrastinating the post, but here it is.
I miss her letters, they come much more rarely this year.
And can't wait to go collect my mail and start writing again, I'm all caught up with everything.

Trakai

Tuesday, 12th day was lucky, not like 12th days generally, so I'm surprised.
Weather was fine from the morning, I also got mail, one of the letters were almost believed to be lost. Mail post is till coming up, this Friday, I will make it big.
Now about the trip. We went by train, the distance is too short for me to enjoy it enough, tho.
We went straight to the castle. I have never been inside before.

And inside there was some fun...tortures, does anyone like them? Well, my friend seemed to enjoy it.
Who wants to get locked in? Not me. I didn't try it, it's too awkward.
She found cages enjoyable too~

And then there's me.
What I love about castles are those bridges they can lift, just like in movies. So I wanted to take a picture there.

Wow, I actually can look great in a photo. And more like me, a loner and looking the way I wanted, can't blame me.
But my friend looks like  a princess waiting for someone to rescue her.
She talked me in to go down these stairs, there's so few of space. The photos, however came out the best that day, the only thing I dislike is the lamp. I mean, it's the castle, could you at least used the lantern to make it more authentic?

Lake apprecciation. They are everywhere around the small town.

Train appreciation. I have to do it.

And yes, I smile too, only when I'm really happy and that still comes out not wide enough. People with wide or gummy smiles, you are amazing.

I love anything that has wheels, especially if they are the size of a train. Unfortunately, I will never have this adorable thing.

Late update

It's really late, but tomorrow this wouldn't look at place. I got some nice mail on Friday and then on Saturday too and this post is about it.
Friday was rarely good, with 3 letters and a postcard.
Postcard from Japan, with Sumida river fireworks.
 And some nice stamps.
And letters:
From Marta, Poland.
I was surprised about this "sticker" on the envelope.
 Star - my favorite shape.
Can someone tell me why Polish stamps are always upside down? I'm just curious, because I get them like this all the time from my pals.
Next one from Spain, Paula.
 I love the cute envelope.
And these interesting stamps - environmental issues are still important to me and keeping our surroundings clean.
And the cute stationery with tea and all the stamps - filling up my collection.
And from Tanja, Germany. She replied fast and letetr came fast - just perfect!
I literally did a happy dance with all this mail I took out that morning. Even if neighbors saw me, let them know I'm happy.

Letter on Saturday was a surprise and I found it on Sunday, when I came back.
It was the promised first letetr from an Australian girl Marlea and when I read about the farm where she lives, with a mountain view from her window I thought "I want to see that too" and it's what I like about Australia, I pictured something similar to what I saw in movie "Australia".

What a cute stamp with koala.

I even replied/finished replying to some letters this weekend.
Though the notebook I used and envelopes are the same for almost all the letters.

Finished reply to Laurita, which took longer.
To Sara, whose letter I got on Thursday.
 To Marta.
And to Paula.
Replied to shorter ones hoping that until the end of exams I won't have all the letters at my place. And...oh no, keeping my promise to not write from Monday.
