This time I want to talk about music I listen.Maybe the same, as you too.First of all, western music.Like Tasmin Archer- a singer, from Bradford, Yorkshire. Her first album, Great Expectations, spawned the smash hit "Sleeping Satellite" reached number one in the United Kingom. "Sleeping Satellite" is a tragic love song which uses cosmic metaphors. This is what I found. That song is really beautiful, and I think all off you should listen to it.Junior Caldera has made the same song in their way.I have them both and when I listen, I can compare. The origin of Tasmin Archer is slower and so romantic, but Junior Caldera's fast, but still a good voice.I like to listen to such good music like Tasmin A.
Another group of good music is deffinately This mortal coil:"This Mortal Coil was a dream pop supergroup led by Ivo Watts-Russell, founder of the British record label 4AD. Although Watts-Russell and John Fryer were technically the only two official members, the band's recorded output featured a large rotating cast of supporting artists, many who were signed to, or otherwise associated with, 4AD. About half of the songs released were cover songs, often of 1960s and 1970s psychedelic and folk acts, which displayed those two genres' place in the history and formation of dream pop. On each of the band's three LPs, at least one song would also be a cover of a 4AD artist, and most of the original songs were instrumentals."
It's just a bit info of it.But one song of this band really affected me.It is Song to the siren.I heard it for the first time in the movie The lovely bones. It was so beutiful, that I could cry.Even after few months that song still gives me the chill.
Ok, another fine band is Dead can dance.I wonder why souch good bands are left in history way back? Now they don't exist anymore, but their music is still alive.
Cocteu twins,Dead can dance, Ace of bace-they all are from lost age.
I hope someday you will listen to them and remember how they were.I just want to share some lyrics of good songs.
Cocteau Twins - Alice Lyrics
When I lost him ache
Shudder shock of pale
My, my true love
Nicolo(whatever his last name was, sounds like eperdu?)these days are
smoking days
Though he won't see
(Deceived me)You deceive me
(With you)Erase it I will not
(to stay)Touching a helix(didn't she know alex?)
(I I will plead)Blotting an excuse you
(alice, alice, alice, alice, alice)
would share,
(alice, alice, alice, alice, alice)
who shall
(alice, alice, alice, alice, alice)
replace
(alice, alice, alice, alice, alice)
You
When I lost him ache
Shudder shock of pale
My, my true love
Nicolo(?) This mess I smoke away
And he won't see
(pushing me)Oops she fell
(with you)Racin her bike
(so you)touching her lies
(not me)
TASMIN ARCHER
SLEEPING SATELLITE
I blame you for the moonlit sky
And the dream that died
With the eagles flight
I blame you for the moonlit nights
When I wonder why
Are the seas still dry
Don't blame this sleeping satellite
Did we fly to the moon too soon
Did we squander the chance
In the rush of the race
The reason we chase is lost in romance
And still we try
To justify the waste
For a taste of man's greatest adventure
I blame you for the moonlit sky
And the dream that died
With the eagles flight
I blame you for the moonlit nights
When I wonder why
Are the seas still dry
Don't blame this sleeping satellite
Have we lost what it takes to advance
Have we peaked too soon
If the world is so great
Then why does it scream under a blue moon
We wonder why
If the earth's sacrificed
For the price of its greatest treasure
I blame you for the moonlit sky
And the dream that died
With the eagles flight
I blame you for the moonlit nights
When I wonder why
Are the seas still dry
Don't blame this sleeping satellite
And when we shoot for the stars
What a giant step
Have we got what it takes
To carry the weight of this concept
Or pass it by
Like a shot in the dark
Miss the mark with a sense of adventure
Don't blame this sleeping satellite
I blame you for the moonlit sky
And the dream that died
With the eagles flight
I blame you for the moonlit nights
When I wonder why
Are the seas still dry
Don't blame this sleeping satellite
Don't blame this sleeping satellite
This Mortal Coil - Song To The Siren
On the floating, shapeless oceans
I did all my best to smile
til your singing eyes and fingers
drew me loving into your eyes.
And you sang "Sail to me, sail to me;
Let me enfold you."
Here I am, here I am waiting to hold you.
Did I dream you dreamed about me?
Were you here when I was full sail?
Now my foolish boat is leaning, broken love lost on your rocks.
For you sang, "Touch me not, touch me not, come back tomorrow."
Oh my heart, oh my heart shies from the sorrow.
I'm as puzzled as a newborn child.
I'm as riddled as the tide.
Should I stand amid the breakers?
Or shall I lie with death my bride?
Hear me sing: "Swim to me, swim to me, let me enfold you."
"Here I am. Here I am, waiting to hold you."
